Principal's message
Celebrating both the present and the past, we opened the 2009-2010 academic year. Yes, the Falcon is 50! AC Flora recognizes its 50th anniversary throughout the entire school year. With construction finally ending this year, we also look forward to opening our grand new facilities, including the expansive competition gym and the impressive performing arts theater. Furthermore, our new football program has produced a fresh perspective as we have introduced to the community Dean Howell, our new football coach, as well as the new coaching staff. Finally, in achieving national accreditation as a district, Flora played a significant role as one of the twelve schools visited by an accreditation team. I am pleased to report that we received commendations of excellence in reference to our process for developing the strategic plan as well as our written document that will guide the implementation of Flora’s plan into the future.
We continue with pride the Flora traditions that have evolved over the past 50 years. We have a long-standing reputation of successful performance and high standards for both athletics and academics. We need your enthusiastic support as we embark together as the Flora community and family for what promises to be an exciting and fulfilling year at Flora.
